WILKES-BARRE TWP. — One of the most famous American Celtic bands will be bringing their St. Patrick’s Day tour to Northeastern Pennsylvania on the eve of the great day itself.
Dropkick Murphys are scheduled to play Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 14.
Tickets for the show in Wilkes-Barre Township go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday, Nov. 18 at Ticketmaster.com, SLPConcerts.net,or in person at the NBT Bank Box Office at Mohegan Sun Arena. The Wilkes-Barre show is produced by SLP concerts.
According to the band’s website, www.DropkickMurphys.com, this is a full electric tour, “with our friends The Rumjacks and Jesse Ahern supporting.”
The full-throttle rock tour launches March 1 in Charlotte. The Wilkes-Barre concert will be the band’s last stop before the tour culminates with four hometown Boston shows on March 16, 17, 18 and 19.
Dropkick Murphys’ current theater tour and new album “This Machine Still Kills Fascists,” have received widespread praise from fans and media.
