May Brands Dunkin raises $11,001 for United Way’s Cups for Kids campaign

DALLAS — May Brands Dunkin partnered with the United Way of Wyoming Valley on Dec. 14, to raise money for local children in need.

May Brands’ 13 locations collectively raised $11,001 during the Cups for Kids event — $1 of every drink sold on Dec. 14, went directly to the United Way.

Cups for Kids was made possible thanks to May Brands’ employee Christopher Welch, bringing up the idea of wanting to give back to the community to company president, Eric May.

This prompted Eric to contact Bill Jones, President of United Way of Wyoming Valley, thus, getting Cups for Kids in motion.

“May Brands is elated to be able to give back to our local community,” May said. “The money we raised will directly benefit the Nurse’s Pantry which grants local students in need access to hygiene products and other necessities they may be unable to acquire at home.”
