Avery’s Lemonade Stand presents check for $2,320 to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter

DURYEA — Avery’s Lemonade Stand recently presented a check for $2,320 to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter in South Abington Township.

The amount exceeded last year’s total of $1,800 that was presented to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge.

Avery Dietrick, 11, and her friends manned “Avery’s Lemonade Stand” on July 19, to raise money for the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter.

Helping Avery were: Maddy Malloy, Corrina Cortese, Addie Joyce, Emma Crane, Alex Collins, Sloane Twardowski, Audrey Twardowski, Zack Connors and Gemma Bauman.

The check was presented to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter’s Sherri Crolly, who handles donations and events.

Team Avery is looking forward to next year’s stand and raising even more for another animal shelter.
