West Pittston man sentenced for stealing truck, selling methamphetamine

WILKES-BARRE — A West Pittston man was sentenced this week in Luzerne County Court for selling methamphetamine and stealing a vehicle.

Judge Michael T. Vough sentenced David Carpin, 35, of Fairway Drive, to three years, six months to seven years in state prison on charges of theft and a separate count of delivery of a controlled substance Carpin pled guilty to the theft offense on June 5 and the drug delivery charge on Oct. 11, 2024.

Freeland police charged Carpin with stealing a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado when it was parked on Centre Street on Oct. 9, 2023, according to court records.

In the drug delivery case, Pittston police along with the Luzerne County Drug Task Force in court records say Carpin sold methamphetamine in a parking lot on in the 100 block of South Main Street, Pittston, on July 20, 2023.
